John is proud to say he is a L3 CrossFit Coach. Having coached and run boxes all over the world, he is passionate about building coaches and nurturing his members to achieve their goals.
John ensures the box runs smoothly day to day.

Chrissy Birtwistle, Owner & L2 Coach
Chrissy is has always dreamed of running her own box and passing on her love of CrossFit to a community of likeminded people. Now that dream is a reality. Beyond coaching, Chrissy manages the business, the brand, and the end to end member experience.

Stacey Walter, L1 & Gymnastics Coach
Stacey first started CrossFit at John’s box in London, he got the bug and was convinced to complete his L1. Since then he’s never looked back. With an ambition to make coaching his full time career, Stacey is working with John to gain experience. Outside the gym, Stacey has a successful career in roofing and home renovations.

Tom Kelly, L2 Coach
Tom is a L2 CrossFit Coach and a competitive athlete - he builds stunning houses by day and imparts his CrossFit wisdom by night. With a heart of gold, he is the life and soul of CrossFit Wrexham. He also overseas all things programming to make sure it’s just right for our community.

Claire Royce, L2 Coach
Claire never thought she’d be a coach, but when given the opportunity she took to it like a duck to water. She is passionate about making CrossFit accessible to the more mature amongst us, and carves time out in her week to come train and coach. When she’s not at box she leads a compassionate team of palliative care nurses across Cheshire. She’s a local hero.

Nicky Price, L1 Coach
Nicky started CrossFit in 2018 - she hadn’t done much fitness at all due to renal failure and 6 years of dialysis. It’s safe to say CrossFit has changed her life. And this year she has taken the leap to become a L1 CF coach, and pass her passion onto others.

Lowri Walker, L1 Coach
Lowri started CrossFit in 2022, bringing her playful personality to CrossFit Wrexham. Previously an L3 PT, she naturally took to CrossFit, and after taking her training more seriously in 2024, she decided to join our internship, and become a L1 CF Coach.

Jess Kelly, L1 Coach
Jess has been doing CrossFit for over 10 years, and after recently becoming a Mum, she decided to start passing her knowledge and passion for CrossFit onto others. Taking her L1 in Jan 2025, her goal is to help people become the best version of themselves through improved health and fitness.

Chloe Bolton, L2 & Weightlifting Coach
Chloe is an L2 CF Coach and British Weightlifting L2 Coach. She has coached at CrossFit Wrexham since 2019, setting aside her career as a nurse to focus on coaching. Now she focuses purely on Weightlifting, leading our Weightlifting Speciality Class.

Aled Morrow-Powell, L1 Coach
Aled is one of our Intern Coaches - he started coaching at the start of 2025, taking his experience as a school teaching to the gym floor. Nothing is too much for Aled, he’s always offering to help, and often building things in his spare time.

Georgia Roberts, L1 Coach
With a background in competitive gymnastics, and gymnastic coaching, Georgia brings a lot of skill and experience in this area to her classes. Although new to Coaching CrossFit, her quality of movement and capacity is second to none. Excited to see her grow over time as a CrossFit Coach.

Meg Bassett-Rhodes, L1 Coach
Meg is one of our newer coaches, but she is so considered and organised she is thriving at coaching both CrossFit, Sweat and Kids Classes. Soon she is going to take on coaching our newest members through their On Ramp sessions too. With a background in education, a love of music and dogs, she’s a huge asset to the team.
