Sunday June 1st - Sunday 27th July

This time of year we’re often bombarded with “shreddy summer” challenges, messages about becoming bikini-body-ready, revolutionising our diet and lifestyle in the pursuit of fat loss… And “Oh, have you tried keto yet?”. 

Many programmes are hugely restrictive affecting our bodies in the long term and promote this cycle of yo-yo dieting and exercise. By the time Autumn comes around the programme has ended, weight has been regained and you’re waiting for the next thing to help shed the extra pounds…

At CrossFit Wrexham we’re doing things a little differently this year!

We’re excited to announce our brand-new Summer Nutrition Rewire — an 8-week nutrition and lifestyle event aiming to help you navigate the nutrition BS, create and sustain habits and to understand how to live life whilst working on creating a balanced relationship with food (because you don’t have to skip the birthday cake in order to be “good”!).

This isn’t just another diet challenge…

Over the next eight weeks, we’ll focus on:
✅ Removing the stigma around food — no more guilt or restriction

✅ Building sustainable habits — ones that last beyond summer

✅Learning key nutrition principles — so you can make informed, nourishing choices

✅Navigating hunger and fullness — to help guide personalised portions

✅ Fine tuning skills like nutrient tracking, how to meal prep and tune into your body’s signals

This programme is designed to get you up and at em’ 

  • Guiding you on how to create sustainable habits and building on these throughout the programme

  • Practical activities to implement your new found skills

  • Community sessions and get togethers to put the enjoyment factor into movement beyond the gym walls

Our goal is to help you feel empowered, not overwhelmed, when it comes to your nutrition. You’ll discover how to eat more nutritious foods, improve your relationship with eating, and set yourself up for long-term success — all in a supportive, positive community.

Whether you’re a CrossFit veteran or just getting started, this program is designed to meet you where you are.

Week - Week Itinerary:

Week 1: Workshop: Sun 1st June - 11.00am

Goal setting & habit planning / How to track nutrients

  • We’re kicking off the programme with a live workshop looking at goal & intention setting, and three habits to create that align with our goals. Set your WHY. Plus, you’ll learn how to track macronutrients, the benefits, the limitations and how to do this accurately!

Habit Challenge 1 - We’re wasting no time in getting healthy habits started. You’ll have the whole community behind you for accountability and sharing success!

Week 2: Live session: Wed 11th June - 18:30 - 30-40 mins 

Cook along with Siân

  • A live streamed cooking Webinar - a follow along cooking session with Siân sharing a delicious recipe, with balanced nutrients.

Resource: How to meal prep | Video - Siân will be sharing a valuable resource on how to approach meal preparation without food waste.

Week 3: Webinar: Wed 18th June 18:30

Spot the Nutrients | Portions

  • Now we’re talking about nutrients! Bringing awareness to what our body needs and linking into portions. Making sure our plates are well rounded and satisfying.

Week 4: Habit Challenge 2 - Video Call Check In - Wed 25th June - 45 mins

  • Building from week 2 we’ll be adding in our second habit of the programme. Check In on how habit 1 creation has gone, and set a plan for adding habit 2. Mindset & removal of barriers.

Group activity: Paddle boarding - Sun 29th June (Wildshore Dellamere) We’re heading off to the lake for some feel-good movement.

Week 5: Hunger and fullness Webinar - Wed 2nd July - 18:30 | Mindful eating

  • Often an undermined part of our diets and lifestyle, Siân is going to take us on a journey of why hunger and fullness should be at the forefront of our minds when it comes to food choice.

Week 6: Group Activity: Sunday 6th July 10:30am | Mobility & Stability workshop 

  • Coach Stace will be showing us the ropes with mobilising our bodies, with suggestions for weekly practices for good joint health and training for longevity.

Habit Challenge 3 - Video Call Checkin’s - Wed 9th July

The third and final habit we’ll be slotting into our lives during the programme. Future - where next? Is there a habit to break? How do we continue this slow progression over time.

Week 7: Webinar: Wed 16th July - 18:30pm | Removing food stigma

  • If we haven’t talked about navigating daily life without talking about stigmas around foods - we haven’t done our jobs. It can feel overwhelming hearing about “good” and “bad” foods and how to deal with food choices on a daily basis when they surround us. This workshop will help alleviate some worries about how we manage all types of foods in harmony.

Week 8: Group Activity: Sunday 20th July | Group hike

We’ll be heading off for a group hike to celebrate our achievements from the past 8 weeks of hard work and dedication! Suitable for all abilities.

Reflection of Intentions Workshop: Sunday 27th July - 10:30am

  • Throughout this programme we’ll be asking you to set intentions for the programme and each week’s theme. The final session will be to discuss our reflections of our wins, learnings and the future beyond the programme.
