Can anyone do CrossFit?

Yes. Everyone can do CrossFit regardless of age, injuries and current fitness levels. Every training session or workout is modified for each person to ensure they safely become fitter and healthier. Grandparents and Olympians can perform modified versions of the same general workout.

Do I need to already be in shape to start CrossFit?

No! Regardless of your current fitness level, you can start CrossFit. Every workout is infinitely scalable, and designed to help you succeed, improve your fitness, and move you toward your goals.

Will CrossFit improve my health?

Yes - 100%. The impact on your health can be measured in a number of ways - reduced blood pressure, cholesterol, resting heart rate, body fat %, combined with increased muscle mass, strength and bone density…

Even if you aren’t sick, know that fitness provides a great margin of protection against the ageing process and chronic disease. Fitness is and should be considered “super-wellness.” Doing CrossFit will improve or preserve your health - that’s a FACT!

What can I expect?

CrossFit workouts are designed to challenge you, but are always worth the effort. Plus because your effort is measurable. The culture of putting your score on the whiteboard fosters accountability and courage. And because CrossFit workouts can be scaled for anyone — meaning we adjust our workouts by degree, not kind — everyone knows the challenge you’ve faced and conquered, this creates mutual respect and build genuine camaraderie, not to mention life long friendships.

What happens if I am not ready for main class after 3 x group fundamentals?

We will either recommend that you book another On Ramp Group package, or perhaps a couple of 1-2-1 coaching session to make sure you feel ready. The most important thing is you are able to move safely, the rest will come.

Do you have new member offers?

Yes - we are glad you asked! We usually always have a new member offer running. If you know a member of the gym you can join for as little as £45 for your first month! This is 50% off our CrossFit Core Membership. After that you can roll onto a full price membership. If not, we intermittently run New Member Offers throughout the year - check our home page / Instagram for details.

How much is a normal membership?

There are no joining fees. You can join for as little as £90 per month (CrossFit Core Membership). Most people train 3 x per week , this is enough to be fit, healthy and ready for life. Supplemented with an active lifestyle - walking, hiking, cycling, running, chasing kids, walking dogs or an active job / shopping habit - you will be fitter than the average.

If you are interested in our speciality classes, you can add our speciality bolt on for £20 per month.

Do you offer a loyalty bonus?

Yes, if you pay upfront for 12 months you get a bonus month for free. The magic happens when you come consistently over time.

How often do you recommend people train per week?

We recommend between 3-5 times per week. It’s super important to have a rest day, just are important as it is to train hard. Recovery from training is how your body gets stronger. Plus, to be mentally healthy, as well as physically healthy, you need to invest in your relationships outside the gym - family, friends, colleagues, pets and use your fitness to enjoy other activities. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

When are membership payments charged?

All membership payments are processed on the 1st day of the month. If you join mid way through a month, your payment will just be pro-rata’d.

Can I cancel my membership anytime?

To cancel your membership, you just need to give us 30 days notice, as you are on a rolling month to month contract. We don’t tie you into contracts, because we only want you pay and come if you are happy. Tell us before the 1st, to cancel for the following month.
